At Waikiwi Gardens we enable residents to live as independently as they wish but always safe in the knowledge that we provide the very best in nursing care should they need it. Our facilities, and the people that help to run them, are there to provide support and stimulation and to help maximise each and every resident’s physical, intellectual emotional and social wellbeing. 

 Accommodation

The accommodation at Waikiwi Gardens has been designed to provide a ready-made sense of community yet with the ability to retain privacy and preserve dignity at all times. It is arranged over two floors. The bedrooms at Waikiwi are very comfortable and most enjoy lovely views of the garden and countryside. Some enjoy both. 

  • There is beautiful garden area which residents can easily access.

  • A conservatory area provides a lovely warm space on sunny days.

  • Main meals are served in each dining room or in residents’ rooms.

  • Corridors are wide and spacious with handrails.

  • All bedrooms have a basin, as well as nurse call systems.

  • Shared toilets and showers are close by to all rooms.

  • Every bedroom comes with its own bedroom furniture, although residents are welcome to bring their own favourite pieces. As standard, each room contains a bed, a chest of drawers, a wardrobe.

  • No surcharges apply.

 Facilities and activities

Activities: Our activities co-ordinator organises activities every day to keep residents busy. With everything from card making and crafts to dancing and entertainment and regular van trips there is always something to do in our dedicated activities lounge.

Facilities: The rest home plays host to a variety of professionals who visit us regularly. These include a Doctor, Podiatrist and Hairdresser.
