Waikiwi Gardens prides itself on having a great team

Owners/Managers - Denzil & Kate Travers

Denzil & Kate are the proud new owner operators of Waikiwi Gardens Rest Home. They are excited about this opportunity and bringing about positive change. Their experience in rest homes comes from owning a small care facility in South Canterbury.

Nurse - Brenda Hill

Brenda joined Waikiwi Gardens in October 2015. She is a registered nurse and has many years of experience. Brenda has a passion for age care and is an ambassador for holistic care. 

Nurse - Jade Diesto

Jade has been with Waikiwi Gardens since August 2013. Jade is also a registered nurse and brings a wealth of experience and enthusiasm to her work. She has a keen interest in palliative care and infection control. 

Together Jade and Brenda's passion and skills enables Waikiwi Gardens to provide the care the residents request and require.

Care givers

We have a number of exceptional care givers whose number one priority and passion is for the well-being of our residents. They provide around the clock care and always come to work with a smile and a big heart ready to help.

Chef / Cook

Our chef Tash brings a huge amount of energy, experience and passion to the kitchen. Sandy our second cook has a wealth of experience cooking in rest homes around the country. Their baking and cooking is second to none.

Activities

Michelle is a qualified Diversional Therapist, she runs an excellent programme of activities designed to stimulate our residents and above all else ensure they are having fun!

Laundry/Housekeeping/Maintenance

Behind the scenes we fortunate to have an exceptional team beavering away keeping our home clean and tidy and operating as it should.
